The ultimate to do list

I started this list in a word file on my computer when I was about 19 or 20.  I am always adding new things, but leaving the things that I have done scratched off so I can remember how much (or how little) of my list I have accomplished.

Continents to visit:

Europe

Asia

Africa

South America

Specific countries to visit: (more would be better)

Argentina

Australia

France

India

Norway

Russia

China

Ireland

Spain

Any developing country

US States/cities to visit: I’ve already been to a lot I’d like to see, but these are a must:

Boston

Chicago

Hawaii

Alaska

New Orleans

Specific things to see:

Northern lights

Chichen Itza

Crater from asteroid

A javelina

A moose

Polar ice caps

Pyramids

Yellowstone

Grand Canyon

Giant Redwoods

Death Valley

Mt. Everest

Go to a starpark to see the Milky Way

Athletic-type things to do:

Hike some of the Appalachian trail

Run a half marathon

Win a 5K in my age group

Take ballet lessons

Go en pointe as an adult

Gallop on a horse in a field

Climb a fourteener

Skydive

Re-learn how to ski

Re-learn how to rollerblade

Take iceskating lessons, maybe figure skating

Be good at swing dancing, and get my partner to be too

Learn to golf good enough not to look like a fool

Personal things to do:

Be in someone’s wedding

Be in Maxim

Be fluent in another language, probably French, but maybe something else too –> maybe I’m on my way…

Play violin in symphony…as an adult, I miss it

Live in a city – yay Philly!

Get married - yay Derek!

Have children and be an awesome mom

Finish my PhD –> getting closer…

Like my job

Eat fruit straight from a tree

Ask my grandparents about the Great Depression

Give a large sum of money to charity anonymously – I won’t scratch this one off when I do it

Host a foreign exchange student

Spend an extended amount of time in a foreign, non-English speaking country
